As a QA engineer, you will be responsible for testing industry leading streaming content protection products of PallyCon. You will contribute to automated test software, automation infrastructures, test plans, and test cases and execute testing on the cloud and server side infrastructure. You will work closely with the product team on the design and development of new features to complete various automation and manual efforts. Your work will directly contribute to the shipping of our high quality products.
Responsibility
- Implement, execute, and debug both manual test cases and automated test scripts using a variety of testing techniques and tools
- Design and build QA automation and manual testing system for streaming content protection and anti-piracy solutions
- Design, develop, and review test strategies and test cases
- Work closely with core security developers, field and tech-support engineers, and product management teams to ensure quality of products
- Help investigate issues reported by the team, customers, or partners
- Responsible for black box and white box testing
- File high quality bug reports
- Proactively question everything to look for testing efficiency gains
- Provide test execution results and regular reports on your testing
- Active participation in review calls to drive excellence in issue reporting and collaboration with development teams
Requirements / Profile:
The ideal candidate brings:
- BE/BTech in software engineering, computer science, or computer engineering
- 5+ years of QA and/or development experience using industry-standard processes, including some customer-facing projects
- Hands on experience with QA methodologies
- Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python and JS, is a must
- Knowledge of streaming and cloud concepts is a must
- Experience with software life cycle development from planning to release
- Experience with testing REST APIs, service consoles, and mobile SDKs
- Experience in writing automated test scripts for different types of automation tools
- Experience in working with global team and awareness of scrum Agile process and tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
- Passion for problem solving with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Highly developed attention to details
- Ability to set up test environments and test beds
- Ability to help improve code and product quality
- Experience with performance, load, and/or security testing and process
Preference
- Working experience with cloud technologies, like AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Certification in software testing
- Experience in Agile methodology
- Experience in test automation and software quality inspection
